Japanese minimal objects made from paper

3RD/DIADEM is the work of Gow Tanaka, made in London and informed by Japanese craft. Each piece is shaped from an FSC-certified compressed paper composite, finished by hand for a smooth, tactile surface. The material is water- and heat-resistant, non-porous and durable. With use and UV exposure, the colour deepens to a subtle patina unique to its owner.

General Care

• Cleaning: Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water, then dry immediately with a soft cloth.

• Avoid Harsh Chemicals: Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or alcohol-based products, as they may affect the surface finish.

• Water & Heat Resistance: Richlite is naturally water-resistant and heat-tolerant, but prolonged exposure to excessive moisture or extreme heat may alter its appearance over time.

• Patina Development: Over time, your piece will develop a subtle patina, enhancing its character and uniqueness. This is a natural process and a hallmark of the material.

Accessories

• Daily Use: Avoid prolonged exposure to lotions, perfumes, or oils, as they can affect the surface over time.

• Storage: Keep in a dry place, ideally in a soft pouch or box, to prevent unnecessary scratches.

Tableware & Desk Accessories

• Heat & Moisture: While heat-resistant, avoid placing items directly on open flames or extreme heat sources. Wipe off spills promptly.

• Utensils & Impact: Though durable, avoid heavy impact or using sharp objects directly on the surface to prevent marks.

Originally developed for high-end interiors, it resists scratches, moisture, and heat, making it far more durable than conventional materials. Over time, Richlite develops a natural patina, enhancing its character rather than diminishing its quality.

• Richlite: Made from post-consumer recycled paper and bonded with eco-friendly resin, it is a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics and woods.

What is the material?
A compressed paper composite developed for premium interiors. It is dense, durable, water- and heat-resistant, and will develop a subtle patina with use.

Can I get the right size?
Rings: use our size chart or measure an existing ring. Bracelets: choose by inner diameter. If unsure, message us and we will advise.

Is it waterproof?
Daily contact with water is fine. Dry after contact. Avoid prolonged soaking or harsh chemicals.

How do I care for it?
Wipe with a damp cloth and dry. Avoid abrasives and solvents.

Do you gift-wrap?
Each piece ships in a magnetic-closure box. Add a note at checkout if the order is a gift.

Do you sell at markets?
